We're Pregnant!!!

So it has been officially announced.  Chris and I are pregnant.  Today is actually the 12 week or 3 month mark.  We are really excited for this and really scared.  Some of you may be shocked as we were the couple that said kids, no way!!  But things have finally fallen into place and we both feel that it is a good time to start a family.  2010 has been a big year.  We finally moved out of Alton Bay and bought our awesome house in Dover.  The dog turned 6 - big milestone because I can't leave him out of this.  I changed jobs to Dover City Welfare which I love immensely.  And we found out that we are expecting with a due date of August 9th 2011.
My pregnancy hasn't been too bad so far.  I had a bit of nausea first off but haven't had anything in over a week (knock on wood).  We had a bit of a scare last week but had an ultrasound and the kid has a very healthy heartbeat, two arms, two legs, a body and a head.  Not much more is know as it is about the size of a plum.  I have a wonderful center that I am going to that was highly recommended by a lot of friends who had babies in the area.  It is about a mile from the house and is directly across from the Wentworth Douglass Hospital.  Very convenient for us.  I am not showing all that much that I can see and have only gained a pound so that is good I guess.
We have 2 rooms upstairs that we are getting ready.  One is going to be the baby's room and have already gotten a stroller, a dresser and a glider rocker.  All on craigslist of course.  Sorry kid not much new stuff from these parents.  Even your dog was bought on craigslist.  My parents have also brought up the cradle that was made for me when I was born by one of my mom's coworkers at the Dept of Transportation.  Love that we are using stuff that is being handed down.  We bought new windows for the rooms upstairs which will be installed by my handyman husband some time this spring.  We are also thinking of possibly refinishing the floors up there and definitely painting in a underwater fish theme.

So I am kind of terrible at keeping up with the whole blog thing but I am going to try especially for those of you who we might not see as often.  My sister in law is really good at this and it is such a wonderful way to keep in contact with her family.  She posts a lot of pictures and videos of her son.  Pass it on to whoever would be interested.  And please get after me if I am slacking on this.  I am going to try to take pictures of myself (not my favorite thing to do) to show my progress throughout the pregnancy to keep all of you updated.  We would love to hear from everyone and hope this blog finds you all well.
