Well, I had planned on posting a photo of my belly every month to show the progress. 4 months was this past Tuesday so I am a little late. Things have been going pretty good. Some minor annoyances but other than that not so bad.
Not much has changed since the last time I posted. Our snow melted so we could see the grass but then we got some more so we can't see the grass anymore. Plus to add to my joy, we will be getting more snow tonight. Love it!!! Not really. Oh, well at least Tuesday is March 1. Yahoo! We are waiting for you spring.
Today, we used the Lowe's card that my parents gave us for Christmas. We got some supplies for making radiator covers (something you need to do if you are going to have a toddler crawling around, those things are scorching), some paint for the kid's room and a rug. We have been wanting a rug for a while, but they are soooo expensive. We took a look at what they had, and decided that we wanted a rug with minimal pattern as the walls would have enough pattern. We also liked to try and match the glider with its fairly neutral color. They had these shag rugs. I was going for the one called Shaggedy Shag and Chris was going for the Wooly Bully. Of course, the one that Chris wanted was more expensive. He said he wanted it so I said ok. It is pretty cushy and will keep the kid nice and warm in the winter time from the wood flooring. Congrats kid, you finally got something that wasn't bought off of Craigslist. A brand spanky new rug.
We have also picked up some cute wall hangings to go along with our ocean theme.
Here are the two colors we chose for the room. The blue is going on the bottom for the ocean and the green will be at the top. This picture does not really do the colors justice as they are not really that pastelly. They are very warm colors and we think that they will look super cool in the room.
I also bought some maternity clothes as it seems that some of my pants are getting a little tight. I tried to get things that would go with a lot of other things that I had and some that I could even wear after. I am trying not to go too overboard on the clothes and I did get some from a few of my friends. They have more for me to borrow which is great. It is helpful being the last of my hometown friends to have a kid. Everyone can hand me down things.
Congrats to the newest edition to our friend clan. My really good friend Hailey had her baby last Sunday. She had a boy named Levi. Love it. Can't wait to see them both.

photos
Here are some photos that I wanted to post.
First is of the ultrasound we had on 1/19. Basically you can see a head. Don't worry about the rest. It is really weird to look at these things when you weren't there. I know because so many people have shown me these things, and I am like what the heck is that. It was the size of a plum and about 2 1/2 inches long so that is why you can't see much.
Next couple are the baby room. Now I know it looks messy now, but you should have seen it before. That is where all the boxes went that we weren't really sure what to do with them. So it is much better now. Once we get a few things, I will be able to get rid of the rest of the clutter. Some of it is trash and I just haven't brought it down stairs yet. Trust me it looks way better than it did and now it has some furniture.
The room is also going to be painted in an underwater theme. The cradle in the second one is one that was made for me when I was born by my mother's coworker. Those are some of the toys that I had as a child.
These next couple are of the spare room/craft room. It also needs a few things (Chris needs to build me a book shelf for my craft books. hint hint.)
The last few are of the snow banks in our yard. The ones at the end of the driveway are literally higher than my car so when we drive out it is very difficult to see anything. Fun stuff. Oh and currently it is snowing again and we are expected to get about 6 inches of snow. What fun. Hope all of you reading this from warm places are jealous.

13 weeks 2 days
Had a prenatal appt today. Went well. Heard the baby's heart beat on the doppler monitor. It was 130 beats/minute, which is good. All my blood work came back normal for all the stuff they tested for. Apparently I am not anemic and the doctor told me to keep doing what I am doing. Super! Not sure what that is though. I thought I had gained weight with the ice cream and pizza we had but I have not gained a pound. Love to hear that.
Yesterday had a bit of an episode. We had the day off because of the ridiculous amount of snow. Will take some pictures to attach here to show all of you. Chris' parents came up over the weekend and said that we had more snow than they had in Alton. I was so mad because for the last 5 years of living in Alton Bay, we got slammed with snow and had crazy winters and Dover had pretty mild ones. The first winter we move here and we get more snow. Thanks Mother Nature for that. Last week when we had the last snow storm (was it just last week) I looked out the window and saw Chris looking like he was in pain from shoveling. I decided, against the wishes of my doctor, to go out and help him. I was always out there before and I felt really bad. I was really careful for all of you who just thought that. It was pretty light snow so it was easy to do. My dad had gotten us this electric shovel thing that only works in about 4-5 inches of snow so I used that to help him out too. I just felt bad. The snow piles are higher than my car so it was hard for him to shovel and get it over his head so that it just didn't come back on the driveway. This week, in anticipation of the ridiculous snow storm, he decided to check Craigslist (our favorite place, even the dog was purchased off of Craiglist) for a snow blower. He found one and bought it Monday night. Just in time. He said he went out Tuesday and after about 10 minutes he was all done. Sweet!!!
So anyway back to my episode. We watched a movie about 4ish and I had an apple at the start of it. By the end of the movie I was starving, so I started cooking dinner. I pretty much had it done and then I got this sensation that I was going to pass out. I ran into the room and laid down. I felt better. Chris brought my dinner in to me and I started to eat. I felt a lot better after that. I mentioned that to the doctor and she said that pregnancy sometimes causes you to be hypo glycemic so to keep snacking every couple of hours. I have been pretty good at this at work but sometimes I slack off on the weekends or when I have a day off in the middle of the week. Will try to be more careful with that. I have also been trying to drink more water. It is not too bad for me since I used to drink so much before.
I also asked the doctor about when I might start to show. On my 12 week day, I was going to take a picture of my belly to see the changes every month but I just felt like I was fat because as some of you may have noticed, I was not the skinniest of people before I got pregnant. I was working on that but oh well not any more. So I just felt like I would just look fat. She said that around 16-20 weeks is when your uterus moves up to your belly button area so then it will look like I am showing. So I will start taking pictures starting week 16 and post them up here.
I have my next appt next month when I will be 17 weeks and then probably the one after that I will have the ultrasound to find out what it is.
Hope this finds all of you well.
