Natalie turned 15 months on Friday. She is doing really well. Still her super smiley self. We have been really fortunate to have such a wonderfully happy baby. She was hamming it up on the photo shoot wearing daddy's new hat.
When I started, she was throwing the blocks so this was pretty good that I got her to keep them sitting there.
We were perusing the Fabulous Bakers blog - Uncle Bob and Auntie Christina - and they had this absolutely gorgeous photo of Natalie on her birthday. I love it. I am going to order prints because it came out so well. What a beautiful girl.
For the past 3 years, I have participated with a team for the Making Strides breast cancer walk. This year, I did not go with a team but a couple of friends that I knew were walking it so Natalie and I participated. We had a lot of fun. I walked about 5 miles that day - pushing a stroller the whole way too. Wooh!!
We went to the Children's Museum consignment sale and I picked up a few sweater dresses. This is my new favorite outfit. Just had to take a photo, cause she is just too darn cute!!!
Here she is at daycare checking out how to cook with tofu.
She also loves the clothes pins and water bottles at day care.
She is really good at standing up on stuff which has caused some minor bumps and bruises. We have had to fill out a couple of incident reports because she has bonked her forehead. We do know from these that she hates ice. Oh well. Once one goes away she gets another. Adds some pretty colors to her head.
Natalie and Daddy went to the Children's Museum one Friday. She was really tired if you can't tell. We ended up getting a membership so we can go anytime.
Grammy and Grandpy came to visit one Saturday. They brought a couple of chairs that I had when I was a kid. She looks pretty good in it.
We ended up upgrading our car seats. She was getting a little big for the infant car seat. We put her rear facing in the new one but it was really hard to get it super tight. So we ended up putting her front facing. It is a completely new experience for her. She doesn't sleep as much though.
Last weekend, we headed up to my parents house. She loves her bunny and piggy. That was what she needed to fal asleep on that ride. She talks to them a lot, it is pretty funny to listen in on the coversations.
We were playing on the floor with Grammy and Grandpy.
She loves her straw cups and her milk.
Natalie loves her big bro Rocky. Rocky finally got to lay on Mom's lap. I think there was a twinge of jealousy from Natalie.
One afternoon, Dad was raking up the leaves in the backyard and Natalie decided to help out by getting in the wheelbarrow. She had some fun in that.
HALLOWEEN!! At day care she got to paint a pumpkin. She also made ghosts with her feet and a turkey with her hands.
We got invited to a halloween party with some friends. All the kids were dressed up in their costumes. By the end everyone was out of their costumes except for Natalie. It was fun. She crawled around a lot and had fun.
Chris and I carved pumpkins. Halloween in Dover, for some unknown reason is always the day before Halloween. Because of Hurricane Sandy, they postponed it to the next Saturday. We were not in town so our poor pumpkins just started to rot outside.
Since Dover is super lame, we headed to Concord so Natalie could enjoy some trick or treating. We went with Bob, Christina and Kellan. It was pretty fun. She was getting the hang of picking out candy and ....
... putting it in her bag.
She was pretty exhausted by the end of the night.
This is a new blanket that Auntie Christina made for us. It has ties so that it can stay on the stroller. So pretty. Thanks Auntie Christina.
Here she is using it while she plays disc golf with Daddy.
This morning mom and Natalie were hanging out. Every morning after she has her bottle, she stands up to look out the window. She loves checking out all the cars and people going by.
We had a bath today too. While I blow dry her hair she plays with the toy bin. These glasses are from a prize Chris won from one of his disc golf tournaments. When we first got them, she was not happy about putting them on. Now she will put them on long enough for me to take a picture.
And there off.
This is one of the new hooded towels I got from the Christmas Tree shop. I was trying to get the towel and the glasses but that wasn't happening.
Here is a nice photo we took of all three of us one morning.
Here she is with her Patriots shirt and Dad's new hat. He started a team challenge with a team out of Worcester. Once a month, he plays a tournament. They made up all these hats for the guys. She looks pretty cute in it.
We are doing really well. Natalie is not walking yet but I think it is very close. She has started to stand on her own for a short amount of time. Also she will walk holding only one hand. She has a couple more sounds too. She can say Go Go Go. She recognizes a lot of stuff too. We have her 15 month drs appt next Friday so that should be interesting. I am really interested to see what she weighs. About a month ago I weighed her and she had gained about 4 pounds. Hopefully that is enough to get her back on track.
Hope this finds everybody well. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. See you next month.
