49 Weeks - 7/17/12

Natalie turned 49 weeks last week.  We have had a busy week.  One thing that happened is she started to move.  Wednesday at day care she rolled from one side of the living room to the other.  We have been doing it ever since.  She rolls around and around to get to stuff.  Very exciting.  We are close to other movements.

Here is a beautiful picture of my girl.  This was early morning.  She was sitting on my stomach looking over at Chris and he took her photo.  She is soo pretty!!

This was her at day care with a puff on her nose.  Ha ha!

Then this is the new face she has been making.  She is just too darn cute.

Here is another of those faces.  She will do it when you do it too.

Last weekend, we went down to visit our friends in Gloucester.  For the past several years, a group of my high school friends and their kids have been gathering in Gloucester at Shannon's inlaw's house.  This year we had Shannon with Mac, 4, and Hannah, almost 2, Rachel with Quinn, 5, Hailey with Bryce, 4, and Levi, 1 1/2, and Megan with Grace, 4, and Charlotte, 9 months and Natalie and I.  Adrienne wasn't able to come with Griffin who is 1 1/2 because she is due to have a second son any day now.  It is a very short walk to the beach.  I took most of my photos at the beach.
She is wearing Megan's hat over her own hat.

There is usually not very many people at the beach.  This was Friday afternoon.  It was gorgeous.
Saturday we went back to the beach.  Somebody doesn't like to sleep when she knows a lot is going on.  We walked over there in the stroller and she didn't fall asleep.  We hung out for a bit but when I put her down in the tent she was not happy.  You can't tell it from this photo, though.

Here she is not very happy.  She was really tired as this was just about her nap time.  Shannon took her picture from behind the tent.  What a pouty face.

Not too long after this, we headed back in the stroller and sometime on the way back, she fell asleep.  Very rarely does this but I took advantage.  She slept for about 1/2 hour in the stroller and then proceeded to take a almost 3 hour nap after she got up and we had a shower.  We didn't have a very good first night so she really needed the sleep.  It was such a nice weekend.  We had a great time.  It is a lot of fun seeing all the kids.  Next year will be much better for us because she will be used to the beach and we won't be interrupting nap time while we are there.

Here she is at the house making that face.

Here is a crazy hair morning.

Ahhh, that's better.

Here she is at day care.  What a beautiful profile.

This past weekend, we went up to Russell Pond in North Woodstock with our friend's Paul and Tanya.  We have been going there for 4-5 years.  We skipped last year due to you know who being pregnant.  Camping in a tent is not really all that comfortable when you are 8 months pregnant.  We went this year and brought Natalie and our boy Rocky.  For the first time in a long time, we have way more pictures of Rocky camping then Natalie.

He was a mess at the end from laying in the dirt and rubbing his face on the ground.  Yuck!

Chris took him for a walk to the lake.  He almost went into the water.  He got confused because the pond is so clear he didn't realize he was in it and then started freaking out.  Oh well, he sinks anyway.

This is a lot of work.

Much better!!

He absolutely loves Tanya.  She pets him almost constantly.  He pretty much tried out every chair we had there.

Here is a picture of the cutie.  She enjoyed herself.  We had to take 2 cars to fit everything in so the exersaucer was able to come with us.  That is such a nice thing to have so she has some place to sit while we are doing stuff.

She also went kayaking for the first time.  Not quite sure if she liked it or not.  The life jacket kind of puts her in an odd position but we both took her and she seemed to check everything out.  Didn't get any photos though.

More petting.

Awww!! We are leaving.
After we left the campground, we headed to the Baker grandparents.  They are missing kids as Kellan has moved out.  She got to use his chair.  Thanks Kellan.  Grammy Jean had her standing in front of her facing the drive way and she took 4 steps towards the railing to hold on to it.  Wow!! We haven't been able to repeat this yet as mostly if you try to have her go forward while she is standing she just falls forward and doesn't bend at all.

Chris got his early birthday present.  He had a disc golf basket that he and his coworkers made out of found materials at work.  It was not very nice looking so I bought this for him.  This one works way better.  He has been playing with it ever since it arrived last Monday.  Best birthday present ever!!

Here are Chris and Rocky chilling on the deck one afternoon.

We made it to her weekly photo.  Of course the instant I sit her down so goes for the blocks.

She is just too cute.

Here is one where she looks a little evil.

This just was too perfect.  The laudry basket was half full and so I stuck her in it and started taking some pictures.

Then Dad started doing peekaboo with her.  Where did Natalie go?

There she is!!!

Well, we were supposed to hear about the America's Cutest Green Baby contest the week before last and never heard anything.  I decided to email the magazine and I found out unofficially that she won 3rd place.  Yahoo!!!  We should officially find out soon and they will be contacting us about an article they are writing.  I believe it is going in the Sept issue but we will let you know.  Thanks to all that voted for our cutie!!!

Hopefully this finds everyone ok.  We are doing great here.

47 Weeks 7/3/12 & 11 Months 7/9/12

We have had a busy week or so with the holiday and being on a mini vacation.  I am a little backed up so hopefully we can get caught up today.  First thing that happened is 2 weekends ago.  While Dad was in Killington kicking some major butt in a disc golf tournament, Natalie and I visited Grammy & Grandpy Rancourt because they were having a Rancourt Family Reunion.  We had lots of fun.  She met a lot of people that day.  My dad has 2 brothers and 1 sister and 15 neices and nephews and they are all much older than I am.  Most of them all have children of their own and a lot of those have children.  It is a bit crazy keeping track of them all.  She met my 3rd cousins so I don't know what relation that is to her.
Here she is with Grammy in her princess chair  She likes sitting in that.  She was watching Grandpy grill up the food.

This was cute how she was looking up at Grammy.

This is Alex, who is one of my 3rd cousins.  Alex is about 2 months younger than Natalie.  They didn't really pay much attention to each other.

This is Cadence, another 3rd cousin that is about 2 months older than Natalie.  Her grandmother is in back of her.  Again, not much interaction between the two.  They were on top of the hill looking down at everyone.  Cadence's older brother and cousin were rolling down the hill too so that was fun to watch.

Natalie has started to flip herself on to her stomach when she sleeps.  It is very strange as she has always hated tummy time.  One day Chris found her like this after a nap.

Daddy and Natalie having some fun together.

Chris took the whole week off last week because we were going away on Wednesday to visit Moosehead Lake.  Normandeau (the company Chris works for) has a house up there and they rent it out.  It was rented out for the week and the people were going to leave on Wednesday so we were going to stay for the rest of the week.  It is a 5 hour drive to get there but is really beautiful.  We found out Tuesday night that the people decided to stay instead.  So no place to go.  I was not happy as I took off Thursday and Friday and really wanted to get away.  Chris and I decided to go camping in Wells to try it out with Natalie.  It ended up working out great.
We decided to stay home for the 4th because it was supposed to be pretty nasty with thunder showers.  We were going to the Dover fireworks with a friend who has a daughter about 8 months older than Natalie but they found out she doesn't like fireworks, so we stood in our road while Natalie slept upstairs and watched the top part of the fire works.  Oh well.
Chris, of course, found a really nice disc golf course that he wanted to play.  It is in Sabattus, Me which is about 1/2 hour north of Freeport.  I told him we could go only if we could go shopping at Freeport.  He said sure.  The above picture is Natalie having a blast as usual at hole 8.  It was a really well done course.  The photo below is at the entrance of the course.  You can't see it in the photo but there was water coming out of the top of the basket and going down to the bottom.  It was pretty cool looking.
We went back to the campsite.  It was a cheap place but pretty nice.  This was our campsite.  It was also pretty close to everything including the Maine Diner.

Natalie passed out in her pack and play in the tent.

I came back from the bathroom and came upon Chris reading to Natalie before she went down for a nap.  Cute!!

So, she turned 47 weeks on 7/3 and we took her photo on the Wells Beach.  Except for Mommy forgot that she was 47 weeks and we wrote 48 weeks instead.  Oh well.  She loves standing and always has a big grin on her face with her tongue sticking out.

We went to the beach earlier in the day on Friday and Natalie got to go in the ocean for the first time.  She seemed to like it.  We brought along her princess chair.  She sat in it and of course when neither of us were watching her, she leaned forward and did a face plant in the sand.  Wooh!! She was not happy about that one.  She was ok but tired but she does not sleep when there are so many things to look at so we had to cut beach time short so we could have her nap.  She fell asleep instantly when we got the car going.

I love this photo.  Finally one of Natalie and I, where I actually like what I look like.  She has got a funny little smile on her face.  You can see all the teeth.  She has had the top 2 and bottom 2 for a while.  Now she has 2 more bottom and 2 more coming in on the top.

We camped out Thursday and Friday night and Chris had a disc golf tournament in Limerick ME on Saturday so we left pretty early that morning.  Natalie and I went home and napped for about 2 1/2 hours.  Wooh! We were both exhausted.  We went to Kittery in the afternoon to go shopping.  I put her hair up in a pony tail on the top of her head.  She got up the next morning with this crazy hairdo.  Had to take a picture of it.

Sunday we went into Newington to get Chris a pillow and decided to stop at Toys R Us.  Chris wanted to get her something for her birthday.  We also wanted to get her a helmet so we can put the bike seat on the back of our bikes and go for a ride.  This one was a bit big but cute.  She loves hats (not really).  We tried another one on and she started crying.

She turned 11 months on Monday.  This was the first photo I shot and she was happy.  Amazing.  Only took 11 months to get it right on the first try.

Of course, she is going for the blocks.  The bear got the boot over the blocks.

Such a cute smile.  We are really fortunate to have such a happy, beautiful baby. She is not moving yet, but is really happy standing.  It is really interesting that she is flipping herself over to sleep on her belly.  Don't know where this came from.  She is not crawling but may soon.

Hope everyone is doing well.  Rocky had a good week visiting the Baker grandparents and having fun with cousin Kellan.  Thanks for taking care of him guys.
See you next week - This weekend is my girl's weekend in Gloucester so should have some good pics.
