41 Weeks - 5/22/12

Natalie turned 41 weeks this past week.  She is getting bigger and bigger and is looks like such a little girl now and not as much of a baby.  Her hair is super long as you can see in the photos.  I usually put it up in a pony tail in the middle or some barrettes.  I am still refusing to cut it because it is just so cute.  She gets curls around her ears.
She was a bit happier when I took her photo this week.  Still trying to get those blocks.

Just wanted to put this one in, becuase this is what most of my photos look like, so I only get like 1 or 2 good ones.  So funny though.

We had a super busy weekend.  Saturday we were off to the Portsmouth Farmer's Market.  She was all dressed up even with jellies that we found out later that Dad put on the wrong feet.  Shoes are overrated at this age.
It was so hot out, so after the market we found a shady picnic table and hung out for a bit.  The rest of the afternoon was spent cleaning out the garage.

This is the tent we bought sometime last year.  It is huge - 18' X 10'.  Big enough for me to stand in it and it can be split up into 2 separate compartments.  It also rolls up with everything inside to about a 2 foot cylinder.  It is pretty awesome.  Chris is taking it with him this weekend.  He and 2 of his friends are playing in a disc golf tournement up in Auburn Maine and are camping out for the weekend.

Sunday, we got up early(who am I kidding, this is the time we normally get up now.  It is not early anymore) and headed to Alton Bay.  Bob, Kellan, Dan, Chris, Natalie and I all went hiking up Mount Major.  What a good hike.  Natalie did really well, until I forced her to keep her hat on.  Finally we used the hood on her sweatshirt.  She was exhausted.  We got to the top around 11 after having to stop to nurse her.  She was not so happy in this photo.  She is super nosy so has to know what is going on at all times so refuses to nap.  We didn't spend too much time at the top because it was pretty sunny.  She had sunscreen on.  On the way down, she fell asleep for maybe 10 minutes.  We had a good time though.

After, we skyped with Beverly and Maw Maw.  Then later on we went on Natalie's first boat ride.  She was none to pleased about the life jacket.  I felt like it might be choking her or putting her in a sleeper hold.  She fussed when we slowed down and was ok when we sped up.  She fell asleep on the way back though.
She had a super long exhausting day, where she only slept about 3 hours from 6 am to about 7:30 pm.  She slept pretty soundly on the way home and Sunday night.  It was fun.
This is just Mom and Natalie having some fun.

BATH TIME!!!

She is doing really well in her swim class now and her last one is this week.  We may be putting her in some more but not sure at this point.  Everyone else is doing well.  The Rancourt grandparents are coming up to visit this weekend so that should be fun.  Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day.

40 weeks - 5/15/12

Natalie turned 40 weeks last week.  That is the exact time that I was pregnant.  The time that Natalie has been out of the womb has flown by.  Not so when she was inside.  She has another tooth coming up the top.  No crawling yet.  I don't think that's going to happen.  She has started standing up with some help.  Her legs are getting really strong.
We have been putting her hair up a lot because it is getting really long and is always in her face.  I refuse to cut it though.  She is just too cute.

She has been doing this a lot with the tongue to feel all those teeth coming.

I forgot to put this on the blog last week.  This was my mother's day present from Natalie.

This is her at day care.  Shannon put her hair in two pig tails.  I tried to put her hair up that morning and she wouldn't let me.  Shannon has the touch.  She is soo cute!!!

Here she is playing with her phone and mirror.

This is a pic I took of her the other day.  This is one of the onesies that our friend Abby gave us.  her favorite color is green.

We went to Westmoreland this weekend for the annual church yard sale.  They did really well and we got some fun stuff including a blow up pool and beach ball.  She got passed around to a lot of people and they all loved her.
Mom got manicures and pedicures on Friday with a couple of girl friends.  That was fun.  The rest of us are doing well.
Hope this finds everyone well.

9 Months - 5/9/12

Natalie turned 9 months this week.  She is doing great.  I forgot to put the bear next to her this time again.

She has been starting to pull off her socks.  She even pulled off her friend's sock from daycare.

Almost off...

Ahhh!!!
We had swim class on Friday, and Mommy got to go visit.  It was a lot of fun.  She did so well and there was no crying.  She kicks like crazy.

Here she is at daycare jumping and belly laughing.  She loves the johnny jumper.
This weekend we went up to Scarborough, ME to Pleasant Hill Disc Golf Course.  This is the course that Chris dives in their ponds to retrieve discs.  He started last year and usually pulled out about 400-600 discs at a time.  This time, since he hadn't been there since November, he got 894.  That is a lot of crappy disc golf players.  Just kidding.  They have 4-5 small ponds and a large pond so it is pretty easy to throw them in.  Natalie and I went up with him and hung out with Kristy the owner and her son, Logan who is almost 9.  We had a fun day.  It was gorgeous.  After we got done there, we headed to Auburn, ME to another disc golf course to check it out.  Chris has a tournament coming up on 6/2.  We had a great but long day.  Unfortunately we didn't take any pictures.

Sunday was my first official Mother's Day.  It was a nice day.  Chris made breakfast for me in the morning.  Then we headed to Wentworth Gardens to pick up some tomato plants, peppers and onions to plant in the garden.  I also picked out a new palm tree for my present.  My old one from the wedding died this past fall.  Hopefully this one will last.  It was a great day of swinging in the swing and hanging out on the lawn under her tent for Natalie.  It was another beautiful day and I really enjoyed hanging out with Natalie and Chris.

Happy Mother's Day to all you moms who are reading this.
Hope this finds all of you well.  Rocky is doing great along with the rest of us.  See you next week.

37 weeks - 4/24/12 & 38 weeks 5/1/12

It has been a couple of weeks since I blogged.  2 weeks ago, when Natalie turned 37 weeks, Chris was away in California - pictures of Tahoe are at the end.  We had a busy week.  Rocky and Natalie had baths, we did some cleaning and then Friday I had off.  I was really excited to be able to take her to her swim class.  Unfortunately, it was school vacation week and they didn't have it.  Sad.  I did get a massage.  Chris had the appointment and obviously couldn't make it, so I got to go.  It was so nice.  Thanks for that honey!!  Then we headed off to visit Grammy & Grandpy Rancourt.
She was not happy with this one.  I only got 2 pictures and this was the best.  I love the outfit.

Here she is at 38 weeks a little more happy.  Her hair is getting really long so I bought some clips to put in her hair.

This is the daughter of our day care provider, Kyanna.  She has been wanting to feed her so badly so the other day they asked if she could.  I said sure.  Kyanna was so happy.  They look so cute.

Natalie got happier once she was on Daddy's head.

She is trying to eat his head.

Here we are at Grammy's.  She did a lot of playing on the floor with stacking cups, a doll and a bunch of other toys.  It was way easier having her on the floor than to have her up because she has started to throw things on the ground.
She is eating a rice rusk.  Normally she has the rice rusk in one hand and knaws on it.  Here she decided that it was just too much to use her hand.  She needed both hands to play with.

Rocky was feeling a litte jealous so he came over and practically sat on Natalie.  It was pretty funny.

This was my view.  Rocky can't be left out at all.  He eventually got in front of her and laid on her.  Luckily she was ok.  He is feeling a little neglected so we try to make an extra effort to pet him.

This is a realy pretty azalea out in front of our house.  So pretty.

Here are the photos from Chris' trip to Tahoe.  This is from the plane ride over.

Chris and his coworker Al did some hiking and disc golfing.

This is a video of Natalie on the bed.  She was laughing when I was throwing the little toy at her but once the camera came on she stopped.  Oh well, she is cute anyway in it.  It was really hot that day, hence the t shirt and diaper.

This weeks swim class went a lot better  She was really happy and did most of what the other kids did which is good.  Afterwards though she didn't get a nap because Dad had a drs appt so she wasn't all that happy later on. She had a good long nap after lunch though.

Saturday, Chris, Christina, Bob and I decided to run in the Children's Museum 5K.  We had signed up a long time ago.  I have not run really since before Natalie was born.  I have been walking a lot but have decided that I really dislike running.  I was really not looking forward to this race but I finished.  I did walk a little once as Dover is very hilly.  It is over and done with for me so I am glad.  My parents came up and we all walked downtown to the race with Jean as well.  Then we walked back and went out to lunch.  It was a fun day.
Sunday, Chris had a disc golf tournement.  He placed 4th out of 25 and got this really funny trophy.
This is him "working" today.  Must be nice.
Well, we are doing well.  Natalie is still not crawling, but I am ok with this.  She seems like she may do it any day now but I can wait.  She has some more noises she is making which is cool.  Other than that we are good.  Hope this finds everyone well.  Have a wonderful week!
