36 weeks - 4/17/12

Natalie turned 36 weeks this past week.  She started swim class 3 weeks ago.  It is for kids 6 months-3 years old.  We are taking it with our friend Becca and her daughter Riley, and Natalie's cousin Kellan.  Knowing that her dad spends a lot of time in the water and her mom is pretty fond of the water as well, you would think she would love it.  Well, not so much.  The first week, which we don't have pictures for (good thing), did not go so well.  She cried the whole time and was exhausted.  Normally she has a nap before she goes but this day, Chris had a chiropractor appt before hand so she didn't nap.  She was so tired that she fell asleep on Chris' shoulder while walking from the pool to the locker.  Not a very long distance.

This is the next week.  It didn't go much better.  She had a diaper rash that we think may have been the cause of her frustration.  Also, the bathing suit was not good either.  I had bought a 12 month bathing suit and a 12 month rash guard - the t shirt.  Chris said he had a really hard time getting it off after being wet.

Here she is in a moment of this isn't so bad.  I love this photo.
The third week pics are further below.

This is later in the day this past Friday.  She loves her bath time at home.  Go figure.  She kicked all the water out of the tub.

Love this photo.  What a cutie.

This was her 36 week photo.  Not so much smiling on these.  All tuckered out from the bath.  She looks so cute in her mom jeans.

She has been high fiving with Chris.

I bought this swing a couple of weeks ago at a consignment shop and we finally got some pictures of her in it.  She loves it.  She loves the wind in her hair.

She is all smiles when she swings.

So this is the third week of class.  I ended up buying a 24 month bathing suit.  She got a nap and a small snack before hand.  If you notice in the pictures when she has dry hair she is not happy...

...When she is wet she is ok.
Had to take a photo of this outfit.  I wore this when I was young.  She looks just like me.

This is after we came back home from a walk.  She really enjoys going for walks.  When we had her in the car seat and put her on the stroller she used to fall asleep.  Now that she is facing forward, she watches everything.  This kid doesn't miss a thing.

She loves playing with toys.  This is a cute shirt we got from some friends.  It says Rhinestone Cowgirl.  So wish the pink cowboy boots that I have for her fit now.

Twice in the last couple of weeks she has woken up with scratches on her forehead.  Not sure when or why she is doing it.  This was the most recent one.  She scratched the heck out of her forehead on this one.
We had a pretty good week.  Last weekend, we went to visit a couple of friends in Brookline that had their new baby a few weeks ago.  They had a boy named Ellis who was 9lbs 11oz.  Yikes!!  They also have a daughter who is almost 4.  We had a good day with them.  This weekend, we didn't do a whole lot.  Just a lot of hanging out together as a family because Chris will be away next week in Sacramento.  He is leaving tomorrow morning and coming back next Sunday.  Should be interesting all by ourselves.
Chris, Rocky and I are doing ok.  Hope this finds everyone well.  See you next week.

Extra photos

I forgot to add these to the last post.  My mom's college friend sent us a package last week that contained a book and some really cute outfits.  Chris tried one on her and this is what she thought of it.  She just had a bath too.

It says "Totally love Mommy & Daddy"  The pants are like jeggings.  Cute.  18 months size though.  They fit really well except they are long.

Here she is having a blast at daycare.

I went to a couple of consignment sales last weekend.  One at the Children's Museum in Dover and one in Bedford.  I picked up some really cool stuff including a few clothes, some toys, a sun shade (for beach going) and a swing that is hanging out on our tree.  When it gets warm enough will post a pic of Natalie in the swing.

I am really sad.  This blogging website is kind of a pain.  I have tried to upload a video a couple of times but it keeps saying after about 20 minutes of it saying upload that there was an error.  There is no explanation of why it does it.  If someone knows about Google Blogger (hint hint Chad) could you take a look at this for me.  I have a few videos that I would like to upload but they won't work.  Grrr!  My venting is done for the day.  Oh, the reason I am posting this on a Wednesday morning when I am supposed to be working, is that Shannon, our daycare provider, has been sick so we decided to keep Natalie home.  I am with her this am while Chris dives and will go to work later on when he comes back.  Hope all of you are faring better than her family.
See you all next week.

34 weeks - 4/3/12 & 8 Months 4/9/12

Natalie turned 34 weeks last week.  We have been trying some new clothes the last few weeks.  We have a lot that we have gotten from friends so we have to have a new outfit every day.  Since she has been so into playing with the blocks, we gave her a couple of other things to play with including our playstation controller.

Natalie was getting a little upset and we really wanted to get a smile, so Mom came to the rescue.  She really likes it when I play peek-a-boo with my scarf.

Then we got a smile

Friday was her first swim class.  She didn't have a nap before it so she was really tired.  She fell asleep on the way to the locker room from the pool after the class.  It is not a very long walk.  She then fell asleep when she got home with her wet hair and this is what she looked like when she woke up:

Saturday, we went up to Alton.  They were having an Easter Egg Hunt for 0-3 yrs, so we went up so we could go with Kellan.  We were a little unprepared because it was really cold and windy.  We did not have a winter hat or a jacket, which is why she is wearing a sun hat and is wrapped in a blanket.  She wasn't all that impressed with it.

Kellan wasn't impressed either.  He just wanted to run.
We skyped with Maw Maw & Beverly when we got to Alton.  We were on there for about 2 hours.  They just watched Kellan and Natalie do their things.

Rocky was just hanging out.

Grammy Jean and Grampy Dan bought Kellan a mini rocking chair from Cracker Barrel.  Rocky really likes it.

Later in the afternoon, we planned to head to my parents house in Westmoreland.  Chris had other plans.  He got really really sick and I had to drive him back to Dover before I headed off to my parents with Natalie and Rocky.  He ended up being sick all night and he was thankful that he was home as he may not have made it to their house.  Here she is in her Easter dress that we borrowed from Shannon, our daycare provider.  Her daughter, who is 11 now, wore it when she was younger.

Today, she turned 8 months.  Chris stayed home to recover another day so he had some help from Grammy Jean in getting her to smile for her pictures.

She does this raspberry thing every once in a while.  He got her right in the middle of it in this one.

Here is the bear.

Here she is again doing the raspberry thing.

Chris thinks this is her  Donald Trump "You're Fired!" face.

There's the smile we wanted.

Natalie, Rocky and I had a good Easter.  We missed church with my Mom because we were sleeping.  Miss Natalie decided to wake up at 5:30, which woke up the dog and he needed to go out.  we were all pretty tired so we needed our rest.  We had a good day.  Luckily, Chris is feeling better.
Hope this finds everyone well.  We will see you in a couple of weeks.

33 weeks - 3/27/12

Natalie turned 33 weeks this past week.  She has not moved at all but she is starting to sit up pretty well on her own.  She also is eating cheerios all by herself which is a good feat.  I finally got a smile in her weekly photos.  There are lot here but it was a cute series of photos.  She was really intent on getting into the blocks as she is with most things that are around her.  By the end, she couldn't really reach the e block so was starting to get annoyed.

Here she is eating cheerios on her own.

I was talking to Shannon, our daycare provider, about how to put her hair up.  She used a tiny elastic. Unfortunately she may have my hair which does nothing.

This is what I left on Friday morning.  So cute.

We recently purchased the new iPad and it has some really cool apps on it including one for editing photos.  This is one that he took of Rocky and softened it up a bit and sharpened up his face.  That is a new liner for his cage.  The other day he came in and got it dirty so I washed the other one and it got destroyed so I bought him a new one.  He loves it because he has been spending a lot of time there.

After he goes outside to use the bathroom, he likes to go up on the deck.  I had to do something so wasn't watching what he was doing.  Next thing I know this is where I find him.
Today we went over to the Seacoast Science Center.  They opened up for the summer and had free admission.  We got married here 8/26/06 and I think that is the last time we were there.  We met our friends Drew, Becca, Suze, and Riley over there.  We hiked around for a while.  It was a beautiful but chilly day for hiking.  Chris took these photos up in a tree.

Natalie loves her backpack.

We are doing well.  Not much going on.  Chris' parents came over to babysit on Saturday night so that Chris and I could have a night off.  We went to Sanford, ME to watch the Hunger Games movie at the sit down and eat movie theater.  It was pretty good.  It was nice to have some time away although she slept most of the time we were gone.  Yesterday, I went to a couple of consignment sales and picked up some cute clothes, a swing to hang on a tree and a sun shade for the beach.  We are excited for it to warm up again so that we can spend more time outside.  Hope all are well and we will talk to you next week.
